Jerry L. Prince received the B.S. degree from the University of Connecticut and the S.M., E.E., and Ph.D. degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, all in electrical engineering and computer science. He worked as an engineer for the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, MIT Lincoln Laboratories, and The Analytic Sciences Corporation (TASC).
He joined the faculty at the Johns Hopkins University in 1989, where he is currently William B. Kouwenhoven Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and holds joint appointments in the Departments of Radiology, Biomedical Engineering, and Applied Mathematics and Statistics. He is also Associate Director for Research of the Center for Integrated Surgical Systems and Technology, a National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center.
Dr. Prince’s current research interests are in image processing and computer vision with primary application to medical imaging. He has published over 200 articles and abstracts on these subjects and is a co-inventor of the HARP technology for magnetic resonance imaging of cardiac function.
