![]() Nael Osman
Chief Scientific Officer Diagnosoft Dr. Osman received his BS and MS degrees from Cairo University, and his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University. During his Ph.D. program, he co-invented with Dr. Jerry Prince, his research advisor, the HARP technique for rapid analysis of tagged MR images. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Radiology Department, School of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Osman is also a talented software systems architect. Before attending Hopkins, he developed with Amr Awadallah a voice-mail system that is currently being sold in Egypt.For their graduation project in 1992, they developed DigiLab, one of the most frequently downloaded digital circuit simulators still today. Dr. Osman published more than 14 journal papers, 3 book chapters, many conference papers, and gave presentations at these conferences: Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (SCMR), IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP), Int'l Society on Magnetic Resonance in Medicine ( ISMRM ), SPIE Conference on Medical Imaging, Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), and Annual meeting of the American College of Cardiology (ACC). Nael filed 3 patents related to MR image analysis. Dr. Osman serves as chief technical officer for Diagnosoft. |
