![]() Matthias Stuber
Associate Professor John Hopkins University Matthias Stuber received his MS and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from the ETH Zurich, in Switzerland. He worked as a clinical scientist for Philips Medical Systems and as a visiting scientist at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA, from 1996-2002. He joined the faculty of Johns Hopkins in 2002, where he is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology/Division of MRI Research with joint appointments in the Departments of Electrical Engineering and Internal Medicine (Cardiology). He is a member of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance. Dr. Stuber is a member of the editorial board of the Journal for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, reviews regularly for the leading international journals in the field, and has received an outstanding PhD thesis award from the ETH in Zurich in 1997. He and his team have won Best Presentation Awards from the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance in 2000, 2006 and 2009. His current research interests include the development and translational application of novel MRI pulse sequences and methods in the areas of coronary atherosclerosis imaging and molecular imaging. He has published more than 110 peer reviewed original articles as well as numerous reviews and book-chapters. |
